Charles D. Boucek
Charles D. Boucek attended the University of Chicago (1970-71) and the Univesity of Pittsburgh (where he obtained a B.S. degree in 1974). He attended Temple University School of Medicine and received an M.D. degree (1978). He completed residencies in internal medicine (Presbyterian Univesity Hospital) and anesthesiology (University of Pittsburgh Medical Center). He is board certified in both internal medicine and anesthesiology. He has been a member of the Academic Faculty of the University of Pittsburgh since 1983. He serves currently as an Associate Professor of anesthesiology, Coordinator of Anesthesiology Grand Rounds and is a member of the Liver Transplantation and Thoracic Anesthesia teams. His areas of interest include liver, bowel, multivisceral, and kidney transplantation; preoperative evaluation; vascular access; infection control; resuscitation and medical ethics.
