Guiomar Martín-Herrán received an M.S. degree in mathematics and a Ph.D. degree in economics, both from the University of Valladolid, Spain. She is a Full Professor at the Applied Economics Department of the University of Valladolid. Her main research areas are dynamic optimization techniques applied to the study of economic and environmental problems, in particular, applied optimal control and differential games. In these areas, she has published about 45 papers in scientific journals, refereed conference proceedings, and book chapters. Her research is regularly funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of Spain. She is a Senior Member of IMUVa, Research Institute of Mathematics of the University of Valladolid. She is also an Associated Member of GERAD, Group for Research in Decision Analysis, Montreal, Canada. She is an active Member of the International Society of Dynamic Games.
