Lidia Benea


Lidia Benea holds a Ph.D. degree. She is a Full Professor and General Manager of the CC-ITES Research (Competences) Centre Interfaces-Tribocorrosion and Electrochemical Systems (CC-ITES). She is an Invited Professor and a Researcher at the Ecole Centrale Paris, France, and Trento University, Italy. She is a Ph.D. supervisor in materials science and engineering. Her research and teaching areas include nano- and microstructured metals, alloys, polymers, and composite coatings obtained by electroplating processes; kinetic and mechanism of electrodeposition and codeposition processes; degradation of materials (corrosion, tribocorrosion, and biocorrosion); mechanism of materials degradation; surface modifications; biomaterials and biocoatings; chemical, electrochemical, and biochemical interface processes; and surface and interfacial phenomena in environmental protection processes.
