Nobutaka Nakashima

Nobutaka Nakashima was born in Yobuko Saga, Japan, in 1972. He received the the Ph.D. degree from Kyushu University Fukuoka, Japan, in 2000. Since 2000, he has been working with Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, Japan. From 2004 to 2006, he was working with Karolinska Institutet, Sweden, as a Guest Researcher. Presently, he is a Senior Researcher. He is mainly interested in developing biotechnological tools for bacteriology like expression vectors, RNA silencing methods, and gene disruption methods. Such tools are applied to recombinant protein expression, metabolic engineering, and gene function analyses in bacteria, as host bacteria, Rhodococcus erythropolis, and Escherichia coli are used.
