Young Jong Lee received a Ph.D. degree in physical chemistry from Seoul National University in 2001 for his work with Professor Seong Keun Kim on time-resolved spectroscopy of photoexcited atoms, molecules, and macromolecules. From 2002 till 2006, he worked as Postdoctoral Fellow in Professor Paul Barbara?s group where he worked on ultrafast spectroscopy of the hydrated electron and single-molecule spectroscopy of conjugated polymers. Since he joined Polymers Division at National Institute of Standards and Technology in 2006, his work has focused on coherent antistokes raman scattering (CARS), imaging of label-free chemical information of biological systems (tissues and cells), and of complex materials systems (polymer blends and carbon nanomaterials).
