Ali Zolghadri received the Ph.D. degree in automatic control in 1992 from the University of Bordeaux, France. From 1993 to 2003 he was an Associate Professor at the university of Bordeaux. Since 2003 he is a Full Professor of control engineering with the University of Bordeaux, France, where he leads ARIA research group (http://extranet.ims-bordeaux.fr/aria ). Dr. Zolghadri' main current research interest is narrowing the gap between real world control engineering requirements and theoretical analysis and design techniques. His expertise areas include model-based fault diagnosis, fault tolerant control and guidance, modeling and observer design and health management and operational autonomy for complex safety-critical systems. He has published around 150 publications including journal articles, book chapters and communications. He is a co-holder of five patents in the aerospace field.
