Ronald M. Bukowski
Ronald M. Bukowski serves as an Emeritus Staff Member at the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center and as a Professor of medicine at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. He was recently the Deputy Director and Director of the Experimental Therapeutics program at the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center. Bukowski held the James Zito Chair in Cancer Research at the Taussig Cancer Center from 2001 to 2008 and in 2008 retired from active practice. After receiving his medical degree from Northwestern University, Bukowski served an internship and a residency in internal medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. Board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology, Bukowski is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of numerous professional societies, including the Southwestern Oncology Group and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. A lifelong researcher and clinician with a focus on genitourinary oncology and interests in biologic response modifiers, the biology and treatment of advanced renal cell carcinoma, and new drug development and investigation, Bukowski has contributed almost 1000 articles, abstracts, book chapters, monographs, and books to the medical literature. He serves on the editorial boards of Clinical Cancer Research, British Journal of Cancer, American Journal of Urology Review, URO, and Kidney Cancer Journal.
