Pascal Laffaille

Pascal Laffaille was born in Toulouse, France, in 1973. He received the Ph.D. degree and the H.D.R. degree (a second Ph.D. degree) from the University of Rennes 1, France, in 2000 and 2007, respectively. From 2005 to 2009, he worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Rennes 1. Since 2009, he serves as a Professor at the Institut National Polytechnique of Toulouse (France). He is interested in freshwater and estuarine fish ecology and mainly diadromous fish management. His research concerns the response of fish to the human disturbances (habitat loss, invasive species, flow regularization, migration barriers, climate change, and overexploitation), the consequence of the decline of the fish and diadromous diversity and abundance (economic and ecological consequences), and finally management proposals.
