Nora M. Navone is Associate Professor and Director of the Prostate Cancer Biological Models facility in the Department of Genitourinary Medical Oncology and the David H. Koch Center for Applied Research in Genitourinary Cancers, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, USA. She is also Director of the Bone Histomorphometry Core Laboratory, the Bone Disease Program of Texas, Houston, TX, USA. Navone received her M.D. degree and Ph.D. degree from the School of Medicine at the University of Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and completed her postdoctoral training in the Department of Molecular Carcinogenesis at MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is one of the leading research experts on the field of prostate cancer bone metastases, focusing on tumor–bone interactions, not on biologic changes in tumor cells alone. She serves on various grant review committees, including NIH and DOD research study sections.
