Masoud Frounchi obtained a B.S. degree in chemical engineering, Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, an M.S. degree in polymer engineering, University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, and a Ph.D. degree in polymer engineering, University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. Research areas of Frounchi are nanocomposites of bioplastics with specialty in polymer membranes (Polyaniline-PVDF membranes, etc.), magnetic polymer nanocomposites, antibacterial plastic films, gas barrier nanocomposites (PLA/PVAc-co-PVA; PET/nanoclay), polymeric (PLA/PVA, etc.) drug carriers, and electron beam and gamma irradiation of polymers. Teaching areas of Frounchi are physical chemistry of polymers, polymer reaction engineering, mechanical properties of polymers, polymer blends.
