Chryso Kanthou earned her Ph.D. degree in vascular biology in 1994 from the National Heart and Lung Institute in London. From 1994 to 1999, she worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Thrombosis Research Institute before joining the Gray Cancer Institute in London as a Senior Scientist. In 2005, she was appointed as a Senior Lecturer in the Cancer Research UK Tumour Microcirculation Group of the Department of Oncology at the University of Sheffield. Her main interests are in the field of tumour endothelial biology and angiogenesis. She is particularly interested in studying molecular signalling pathways associated with the remodelling of the endothelial cytoskeleton, the primary target of VDAs.
