Patrick J. Dupont
Patrick J. Dupont works currently as a Professor of medical imaging at the Laboratory for Cognitive Neurology (K.U. Leuven) in Leuven, Belgium. He obtained the M.S. degree in mathematics (K.U. Leuven 1985) and the Ph.D. degree in physics at the Institute for Theoretical Physics (K.U. Leuven) in 1990. He worked as a Postdoctor for several years at the Center for Positron Emission Tomography and the Laboratory for Neuro- and Psychophysiology (K.U. Leuven). In 1999, he was appointed as a Guest Professor. In 2002, he became an Associate Professor and in 2005 a Professor at the Nuclear Medicine Department. His main research interest is related to image and data analysis in brain imaging. He has coauthored more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals and serves as a Reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals and funding agencies. He works also as a Director of the Postgraduate Studies in Advanced Medical Imaging, and he teaches several courses related to imaging. He is a Member of the Society for Neuroscience and the Organization of Human Brain Mapping.
