Khaled Mostafa serves as a Professor of textile chemistry and chemical technology at the Chemical Metrology Division, National Institute for Standards (NIS), Egypt. Since 2002, he has been working as a Scientific Consultant at King Abdul Aziz University, Saudi Arabia. His work deals with the chemistry of polymers used in textiles such as starch, chitin, chitosan, and dextrin in addition to cotton. Problems chosen are of applied nature since they are directly related to textile pretreatment, dyeing, printing, and finishing. His research activities have been maintained at a high level for the last two decades and have resulted in over 42 papers published in well-known and recognized international journals categorized according to highly international standard (ISI). All of which testify to his ability, creativity, and significant contribution. The latter has been proven by selecting as international reviewers for more than 10 international journals in the USA, UK, Germany, and Australia as well as by acting as an editor for more than three books in carbohydrate polymers and waste water treatments as well as textile chemistry. He was awarded a certificate of distinction for his excellent research works from HE President of King Abdul Aziz University in the year 2009/2010.
