Jagadeesan Arunakaran

Jegadeesan Arunakaran received his Ph.D. degree in endocrinology at the University of Madras, India, in 1986, and is working as a faculty at the Department of Endocrinology, Postgraduate Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, University of Madras, Taramani, Chennai, India. At present, he is working on environmental endocrinology and oncological endocrinology; on environmental endocrinology, effect of PCB /phthalate on male reproduction as well as on neuroendocrinology; and on oncological endocrinology, effects of quercetin, Ukraine, DADS, and Zinc on prostate cancer in both in vivo and in vitro experiments. He published more than 90 research articles, guided 8 Ph.D. students, is guiding 7 Ph.D. students, guided 30 M.Phil. students, and is guiding 2 students in the same area. He handled Government of India research projects and wrote five book articles in endocrinology/prostate cancer.
