David J. Klein
David J. Klein was born in Florida (USA)
in 1972. His undergraduate and graduate
education in electrical engineering was obtained
from the Georgia Institute of Technology
(Atlanta, Georgia) and the University
of Maryland (College Park, Maryland),
respectively. He is currently working as a
Visiting Scientist at the Institute of Neuroinformatics
(University/ETH Zürich) in
Zürich, Switzerland, where he is developing
models of auditory cortical function and investigating the usefulness
of auditory neuroscientific knowledge for various acoustical
signal processing applications, including sound recognition, pitch
extraction, and sound localization.
