Hirosi Noguchi

Hirosi Noguchi received the mechanical engineering degree and the Ph.D. degree in engineering from Kyushu University, Japan, in 1978 and 1983, respectively. He is a Full Professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department of Kyushu University, where he is heading a research team working in the area of solid mechanics and fatigue and fracture of engineering materials. He is a Fellow of the JSME (Japanese Society of Mechanical Engineers, 2005 ). He received the JSME academic Award (1984 and 2002). He was Editor-in-Chief for Transaction of JSME (2007).
