Regis Cereghino

Regis Cereghino (born 1969) earned his Ph.D. degree in freshwater biology in 1997, and he is currently a Full Professor at the University of Toulouse, France. He is an expert in the field of community ecology under natural and human-impacted conditions, with particular interests in the functional outcomes of interspecific interactions. Cereghino mostly uses aquatic insects as model organisms (in a wide range of freshwater habitat types such as phytotelmata, ponds, or rivers), but he also collaborates on works that deal with fish, terrestrial insects, and plant-insect interactions.
