Alan Lair

Alan Lair received his Ph.D. degree in mathematics from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, in 1976. He served six years at the University of South Dakota before going to the Air Force Institute of Technology in 1982, where he works presently as a Professor of mathematics and Head of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. His research interest is primarily existence theory for elliptic equations and systems, especially those with blow up boundary conditions and their applications to stochastic control theory.
