Matthew T. Cole

Matthew Cole is an Isaac Newton Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre for Advanced Photonics and Electronics in the Electronic Devices and Materials Group. Matthew gained an M.Eng. degree from Brasenose College, Oxford, UK, in 2008 and a Ph.D. degree from St John's College, Cambridge, UK, in 2011. He has spent time as a Visiting Scholar at Harvard University, a Research Associate at Sharp Laboratories of Europe, and a Consultant for Aixtron Nanoinstruments. His current research focuses on the chemical vapour deposition of graphene and aligned CNTs and their heterogeneous integration in electronic and optical systems. Dr. Cole is a Tutor, the Director of Studies in Engineering, Deputy Admissions Tutor, and Research Fellow of St Edmund's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, UK.
