Bhimappa Suresha, D.M.E. (BTE), B.E. (University of Mysore), M.Tech. (IITC), Ph.D. (Anna University), serves as a Professor of mechanical engineering. His research interests are polymer composites tribology, fracture, and machining of micro/nanofiller reinforced polymer/metal matrix composite systems. He is working on nanocomposites and asbestos-free micro/nanofilled polymer composites for breaking/bearing applications. He plans to develop a center for high-level research in the field of polymer tribology, focusing on consultancy works and collaborative projects with academic institutions/industries. He has been teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students, and he handles subjects like theory of machines, design of machine elements, theory of vibrations, automatic control engineering, design and drawing, tribology, composite materials, advanced materials technology, and product data management. Suresha has worked to complete Aeronautical Research and Development Board (AR&DB) research project (2005–2007) entitled Role of Fillers on Mechanical and Tribological Properties of Polymer Matrix Composites for Aerospace and Automotive Applications at PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. He has many research papers published in peer-reviewed international/national journals and conferences.
