Robert D. Murray
Robert D. Murray holds B.S. and M.D. degrees. He has served as a Consultant Endocrinologist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, Leeds, UK, since 2004, and Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Leeds, Leeds, UK. His areas of subspecialty interest include pituitary disease, late endocrine effects of cancer therapy and haematological disorders, and thyroid cancer. His research interests have been in the areas of growth hormone deficiency and excess, glucocorticoid replacement, and the impact of cancer therapy on the endocrine system. Dr. Murray has published more than 30 original articles and 30 reviews or book chapters. He has contributed chapters to the Oxford Textbook of Endocrinology, Williams Textbook of Endocrinology, and Oxford Desktop Reference. Murray is currently a Member of the Clinical Committee, Nurses Committee, and Corporate Liaison Committee of the Society for Endocrinology; he is a convener for the pituitary special interest group of the Society for Endocrinology and is actively involved with Map of Medicine. In addition, he serves on the editorial boards of four journals.
