Jan S. Moreb
Jan S. Moreb received an M.D. degree from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in 1980, and completed internal medicine/hematology in Shaare Zedek hospital and the fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University of Florida (1990). Currently, he serves as a Full Professor at the University of Florida at the divisions of hematology/oncology, hematologic malignancies, and stem cell transplant program. He serves as the clinical director of the hematologic malignancies section. His clinical expertise is in multiple myeloma and other plasma cell dyscrasias, stem cell transplantation, and graft versus host disease. He is also an expert on aldehyde dehydrogenases (ALDHs) and their clinical implications in regards to normal and cancer stem cells as well as drug resistance. He has research interests in immunotherapy, bisphosphonate-induced osteonecrosis of the jaw, and development of ALDH inhibitors.
