Silvina Meroni
Silvina Meroni studied biochemistry at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. She received her Ph.D. degree from the University of Buenos Aires in 1996. She serves as an Established Investigator of CONICET since 1999. She works at the Laboratory of Biology of Gonadal Cells in the Centro de Investigaciones Endocrinologicas (CEDIE/CONICET), Hospital de NiƱos Ricardo Gutierrez, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her research interests are focused on studying molecular mechanisms and signal transduction pathways involved in the energetic metabolism of the seminiferous tubule that may contribute to the preservation of an optimum microenvironment for a successful spermatogenesis.
