Albert Moraska received his Ph.D. degree in integrative physiology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, USA, in 2002. He served at the first Director of Clinical Research at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy before joining the College of Nursing at the University of Colorado Anschutz, Medical Campus (Denver, CO, USA). His research interests are directed to understanding the role of complementary medicine as it relates to chronic pain. Specifically, his current research is to elucidate physiological mechanisms of action for massage at myofascial trigger points and determine clinical effectiveness of massage therapy for tension-type headache.
