Chodchanok Vijarnsorn graduated with an M.D. degree from the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok,Thailand, which is one of the biggest, oldest, and well-known institutes of Thailand. She is a Diplomate of the Board of Pediatrics and Subboard of Pediatric Cardiology. She served as a Visiting Fellow at the National Heart Institute, Malaysia, for 1 month. After completion of her training, she had been a Staff Consultant of pediatric cardiology at the Prapokklao Hospital in Chanthaburi, which is one of the tertiary cardiac centers in the east of Thailand, for 3 years. In 2009, she moved to be a Faculty Member at the Division of Pediatric Cardiology, Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. Vijarnsorn's routine practice involves clinical pediatric cardiology, echocardiography, and diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization as well as cardiac intensive care. The number of cases in her OPD is about 3500 per year. The cardiac catheterization procedures that are essentially conducted are around 500 procedures per year. Vijarnsorn's responsibilities are not only in the service part but also in teaching medical students, house residents, and clinical fellows. In 2010, she received a university scholarship to be an Echocardiography Clinical Fellow at the British Columbia Childfen's Hospital, Vancouver, followed by a clinical research fellow of echocardiography-cardiac MRI and interventional pediatric cardiology at the Stollery Hospital, Univeristy of Alberta, Canada.
