W. Herbordt
Wolfgang Herbordt received the Dipl.-Ing.
degree in electrical engineering from the
University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in 1999
after studying at INSA Rennes, France,
and at the University Erlangen-Nuremberg,
Germany. Since 1999, he is a Researcher at
the Chair of Multimedia Communications
and Signal Processing at the University of
Erlangen-Nuremberg. He has been involved
in signal processing for hands-free acoustic
human-machine interfaces, that is, array signal-processing, blind
source separation, multichannel AEC, noise-robust speech recognition,
and acoustic source localization. He received the Best Student
Paper Award at the International Conference on Acoustics,
Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASSP), Istanbul 2000. In 2000,
he was a visiting Scientist at Intel Corp., Hillsboro, OR, and in 2001
and 2002 at Intel Corp., Beijing, China.
