Filippo de Monte
Filippo de Monte was born in Italy in 1963. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of L’Aquila, Italy, in 1989 and 1993. Also, he served as a Visiting Ph.D. student at the Department of Engineering, the University of Cambridge, UK in 1992. He currently works as an Associate Professor of mechanical engineering at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Energy, and Management, the University of L’Aquila and has been a Visiting Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Michigan State University, USA (since 2007). He is author of 91 articles published in international and national refereed journals, proceedings of international and national conferences, and reports. He is a Referee for various prestigious international journals such as the International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, the International Journal of Refrigeration, and the International Journal of Thermal Sciences. His main research fields are heat and mass diffusion fundamentals and applications, heat regenerators and Stirling cycle machines, and thermodynamic properties of new refrigerants. de Monte serves as a Member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and a Senior Member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).
