Oliver Sander works as a specialist in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at the Department for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Rheumatology of the Heinrich-Heine University Duesseldorf, Germany. One of his major topics is Rheumatoid arthritis, especially TNF-Inhibitor therapy. He participated in several phase I to IV studies with biologics. Standardization of diagnostic procedures, especially imaging (radiographic scoring, ultrasound, capillaroscopy) is the second scientific field. In addition to clinical rheumatology he co-works in regulatory boards and teaches Internal Medicine, Rheumatology and epidemiology at the local university.
