Yuming Qin

Yuming Qin received his M.S. degree and his Ph.D. degree from Fudan University, Shanghai, China, in 1990 and 1999, respectively, and then undertook the Postdoctoral Research at the National Laboratory for Scientific Computing, Petrópolis, RJ, Brazil, from 1999 to 2002. Before July, 2004, Qin has been working at Henan University, Henan, China, as an Assistant Professor, a Lecturer, and a Professor. Now he is a Professor directing Ph.D. degree students, and he also serves as the Head of the Applied Mathematics Department of Donghua University, Shanghai, China. Up to now, he has published more than 100 articles including more than 60 SCI articles and 4 monographs in Birkhäuser, Springer. He is also on the editorial board of five international journals. He organized several international conferences as the Chair of the Organizing Committee. He was one of the invited speakers at more than 20 international conferences held all over the world. His research interests include nonlinear partial differential equations with applications to physics, mechanics, and biology and infinite‐dimensional dynamical systems of hyperbolic‐parabolic coupled systems, including phase transition problems, thermoviscoelastic (viscoelastic and thermoelastic) problems, and gas‐dynamical problems.
