Joseph J. Derose
Joseph J. Derose, Jr., is a holder of the M.D. degree. He is currently an Associate Professor of cardiothoracic surgery at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine. He is the Director of Minimally Invasive and Robotic Cardiac Surgery as well as the Chief of Adult Cardiac Surgery, Einstein Division of the Montefiore-Einstein Heart Center. Derose's clinical areas of specialty include minimally invasive and robotic cardiac surgery, mitral valve repair, aortic valve repair, complex aortic surgery, coronary artery bypass grafting with bilateral internal thoracic arteries, and arrhythmia surgery. He is a Primary Investigator who has NIH funding in the study of robotic CABG as part of hybrid revascularization.
