Patricia A. Zuk

Patricia A. Zuk is the Research Director for the Regenerative Bioengineering and Repair Laboratory at the David Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA. She received her B.S. degree in biology from McMaster University, ON, Canada, in 1991, her M.S. degree in biological sciences from Wayne State University, Mich, USA, in 1992, and her Ph.D. degree in molecular and cell biology from Wayne State University, Mich, USA. She is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Santa Monica College since 2002 where she teaches basic biology and human anatomy for the Dental Hygiene Department and for the Life Science Department of West Los Angeles College. Her work in the REBAR lab explores the use of a novel population of adult stem cells that is isolated from liposuction fat tissue.
