Kenzo Sonoda received an M.D. degree in 1989 from the Faculty of Medicine, Kyushu University, and a Ph.D. degree in 1996 from the Graduate School of Medical Sciences, Kyushu University. Since 2009, he has been serving as a Lecturer at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Kyushu University Hospital, Japan. He obtained a Physician’s License (no. 325077) from Japan. He has been board certificated in his speciality in 1996 from Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 2007 from Japanese Board of Cancer Therapy, and 2007 from Japanese Society of Clinical Cytology. His professional membership and associations include Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Japan Society of Gynecologic and Obstetric Breast Cancer, Japanese Cancer Association, Japan Society of Clinical Oncology, Japanese Society of Immunology, Japan Society of Gynecologic Oncology, Japanese Society of Clinical Cytology, International Gynecologic Cancer Society, American and the Association for Cancer Research. He works on the Editorial Board of the ISRN Oncology Journal and the World Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He received honors and other special scientific recognition including: the Investigator Award, Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (2007) and the Investigator Award, Medical Care Education Research Foundation (2009).
