Jürgen Bünger, MD, was born in 1955, Vechta, Germany. From 2002 to 2005, he worked as an Associate Professor and as a Deputy Director at the Institute of Occupational Medicine, University of Göttingen, Germany. Since 2005, he serves as a Vice Director of the Medical Center of Competence at the Institute of Prevention and Occupational Medicine, Ruhr-University of Bochum, Germany. Since 2009, he works as a Professor and as the Chair of Experimental Occupational Medicine at the Institute of Prevention and Occupational Medicine, Ruhr-University of Bochum, Germany. He has Broad practical and scientific experience in occupational safety and health and environmental and social medicine, including epidemiologic and clinical studies, human exposure studies and laboratory methods for experimental toxicological and immunologic investigations using in vitro assays, cell-culture techniques, and molecular medicine.
