Pere Pons
0000-0002-2196-5544Pere Pons, Ph D., is associate professor of Zoology at the University of Girona where he teaches Zoology, Biological Conservation and Wildlife Management. His main research interests emphasizes fire ecology, invasion biology, animal conservation and habitat management, publishing mainly on birds, but also on ants, tortoises and mammals. He is currently working on population (colonization, resistance, extinction...) and ecosystem processes (seed dispersal and predation) in Mediterranean areas affected by disturbances, including among these wildfire, salvage logging, prescribed burning and ant invasion of natural habitats.
