Dominic McGrath received his Ph.D. degree (1992) from the California Institute of Technology, Calif, USA, under the direction of Robert H. Grubbs. After two postdoctoral appointments, one at the Scripps Research Institute (1992–1994) and the second at the Beckman Institute at Caltech (1994), he joined the faculty at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, in 1994. Since 1998, he has been a member of the faculty at the Chemistry Department at the University of Arizona, Tucson, Ariz, where he is currently an Associate Professor of chemistry. His research interests include the preparation of new organic macromolecular architectures, and his group specializes in the preparation of photoactive, electroactive, and degradable materials. In addition to his role as an Associate Editor of Research Letters in Organic Chemistry, Dr. McGrath is a National Science Foundation Career Awardee (1997–2002), a Research Corporation Cottrell Scholar (1997), and a Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar (1999–2004).
