Wei-Chiang Hong is a Professor in the Oriental Institute of Technology (Taiwan) from a Lecturer (2006) to a Professor (2013). His research interests mainly include computational intelligence (neural networks, evolutionary computation, support vector regression, and Chaos Theory) and tourism competitiveness evaluation and management. His articles have been published in Annals of Tourism Research, Applied Mathematical Modelling, Decision Support Systems, Energy Policy, Energy, European Journal of Operational Research, and IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, among others. Professor Hong is currently appointed as the Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Applied Evolutionary Computation. In addition, he is also on the Editorial Board of several journals including Neurocomputing, Applied Soft Computing, and Energy Sources Part B: Economics, Planning, and Policy. He also serves as a Technical Committee Member of the IEEE SMC Society and the Program Committee of various international conferences including premium ones such as IEEE CEC, IEEE CIS, IEEE ICNSC, IEEE SMC, IEEE CASE, and IEEE SMCia. He is a Senior Member of the IIE and IEEE and a Member of INFORMS. He is indexed in the list of Who's Who in the World (25th to 33th editions) and Who's Who in Science and Engineering (10th to 12th editions).
