Saiful Islam

Saiful Islam received the B.S. degree in engineering and M.S. degree with majors in applied physics and electronics both with first class first position from Dhaka University in 1997 and 1998, respectively. The master thesis dissertation dealt with “Design and Development of PC-Based Integrated System for 8085 Microprocessor.” In July 1999, he joined as a Lecturer to the Department of Applied Physics, Electronics and Communication Engineering, of Dhaka University. In October 2003, his academic position was an Assistant Professor. He tough the following courses in the department: Analog Electronics Circuit, Solid state Devices, Industrial and Power Electronics, Scientific and Industrial Instrumentation, Digital electronics, and Microprocessor & Assembly Language Programming. He was responsible for 3rd year student lab more than 4 years. During his working period, he supervised several master thesis students. From 2000 to 2004, he was one of the members of the administrative body of a residential Hall of the Dhaka University. From March 2000 to June 2002, he was the Chairman of finance committee of Dhaka University Computer Association. During this time, he was a scheduled Examiner of Bangladesh National University. From January 2000 to September 2003, he was Part time teacher to the “Peoples’ University of Bangladesh (PUB)” and “National Academy of Science & Technology (NAST).” He guided Research of young scientists of the Ministry of Science & Technology, Bangladesh. He was a training Teacher at National Institute of Mass Communication (Department of Telecommunication), Bangladesh where he taught radio and TV engineers. Since May 2005 till present, he is working on research towards Ph.D. degree in the SBO project of “Visualization of conciliated object using millimeter wave systems” with LAMI group to the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB).
