Diane C. Gooding is a Professor of psychology and psychiatry at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Gooding earned her undergraduate degree in psychology and social relations at Harvard University. After completing her clinical internship at the Hennepin County Medical Center, she received her Doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, Minn, USA. Her research interests include the following: the study of the biological basis of severe and persistent mental illness, with an emphasis on the identification and validation of endophenotypes; indicators and predictors of risk for schizophrenia-spectrum disorders. Dr. Gooding has published in the areas of individual differences and risk for psychopathology, psychophysiology, developmental psychopathology, neurocognition, emotion, and social cognition. Publications include articles in Psychological Medicine; Journal of Abnormal Psychology; Schizophrenia Bulletin; Schizophrenia Research; Biological Psychiatry; Psychiatry Research; Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease; Brain and Cognition.
