Maria Candida Barisson Villares Fragoso Unit of Endocrinology, School of Medicine Sao Paulo University, Brazil Maria Candida B Villares Fragoso was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1960. She concluded her Medicine Graduation in 1989 at Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas, PUC Campinas, Campinas, Brazil. From 1990 to 1993 she has done her Specialization in Endocrinology at Hospital das Clínicas of School of Medicine of the University of São Paulo, HCFMUSP, Brazil. She kept working at same Hospital (HCFMUSP) and she has been a Research Fellow from 1994 to 1999. At this period she concluded her Doctoral Thesis. In her post-Doctoral from 2000 to 2002 she became a Clinical Researcher and maintained her activities in the same Institution. She has been a Professor of Endocrinology since 2005 and in 2009, she received a Grant from Brazin and Canadian government to take a Sabbatical as an invited professor in Laboratory at the Research Centre (CRCHUM) and Endocrine Division of Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM). She is mainly interested in adrenal disorders and also she has been working in Cushing’s disease. She is an active member of Endocrine- Society since 2000. Biography Updated on 13 November 2010
