Jeffrey Bergen
0000-0001-7862-433XJeffrey Bergen received his B.S. degree in mathematics from Brooklyn College in 1976 and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in 1977 and 1981 from the University of Chicago, Chicago, Ill, USA. His thesis advisor was I.N. Herstein. He is a Professor of mathematics at DePaul University. His research area is noncommutative ring theory. His recent publications deal with ring extensions and subrings obtained by the actions of automorphisms, derivations, skew derivations, Lie algebras, and Hopf algebras.
