Mohamed Ramadan

Minufiya University, Egypt

Mohamed A. Ramadan works as a Professor of numerical analysis and as the Chairman of Mathematics Department, Faculty of Science, Menoufia University, Egypt. In 1991, he completed Ph.D. courses at University of Illinois and Northern Illinois University, USA. His Ph.D. thesis was written under the supervision of Professor B. Datta at Northern Illinois University, USA. The degree has been granted by Menoufia University, Egypt. He obtained the M.S. degree in 1984 from University of Alabama, Alabama, USA, and the B.S. degree in 1977 from the Faculty of Science, Tanta University, Egypt. His areas of expertise and interests include the eigenvalue assignment problem, the partial eigenvalue assignment problem, and the controllability problem, arising in linear control systems of different orders. His research in solution of matrix equations focuses on investigating, theoretically and numerically, the positive definite solution for class of nonlinear matrix equations and iterative and explicit solutions of matrix equations. He is also interested in numerical solution of differential equations using spline functions and numerical techniques for solving different classes of partial, ordinary, and delay differential equations and fractional differential equations using different types of spline functions (polynomial spline, nonplynomial spline, and spline functions of integral form).
