Stefania Boccia is an Associate Professor of Hygiene and Preventive Medicine and the Vice Director of Institute of Hygiene of the Faculty of Medicine at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC), Rome, Italy, where she coordinates the Genetic Epidemiology and Public Health Genomics Unit of the Institute of Hygiene. She is a biologist by training and specialist in clinical pathology. Boccia holds an M.S degree in epidemiology and a Ph.D. degree in genetic epidemiology. She is the author of 97 scientific publications in the field of genetic epidemiology of cancer, with special emphasis on aetiologic study and meta-analysis. She has participated in 56 national and international conferences since 1998 with 109 scientific works, with h-index (Scopus) 19, and impact factor (Journal of Citation Report, year of publication) 202.248.
