University of Alicante, Spain

Sergi Gallego Rico obtained a degree in physics from University of Valencia, Spain, in 2001, and his Ph.D. degree in physics at the University of Alicante, Spain, in 2005. Since 2004, he works as a Contracted Lecturer at the Polytechnic School of the University of Alicante. He teaches physics foundations for computing engineers. His research was concerned to holography and holographic recording materials. He has published more than 100 papers and proceedings and more than 60 journal papers. The first works were about models of the hologram formation in photopolymers and numerical solution of the couple wave theory applied to holographic gratings. Nowadays, he works mainly in the study of LCDs applied to holography and photopolymers with dispersed liquid crystal molecules. He has worked with Professor J. T. Sheridan at the University Collage of Dublin (2003 and 2005) and with Professor T. Woike Universität zu Köln, Germany, in 2010.
