Vorapong Phupong received his M.D. degree with 2nd class of honor from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand, in 1992. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Chulalongkorn University in 1998 and his fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the same university in 2002. He was a Visiting Fellow at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka, Japan, in 2006. He began his academic career at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University. He is a Professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Chulalongkorn University. He is a Fellow of Royal Thai College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Phupong is on the Editorial Boards of Journal of Medical Association of Thailand, Thai Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Journal of Pregnancy. Other honors include FIGO International Fellowship Program, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2006), Shan S. Ratnam Young Gynecologist Award, AOFOG (2007), and APCOC Talents Encouragement Award (2008). Dr. Phupong has been active in research with over 90 peer-reviewed publications.
