Kinkar Ch Das

Kinkar Chandra Das obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees in mathematics from Vidyasagar University, West Bengal, India, winning the University Gold Centered Silver Medal for first class in his B.S. degree exam. He completed his M.Tech. degree in computer science and data processing and his Ph.D. degree in spectral graph theory from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India in 2004. After obtaining the Ph.D. degree, he spent some time in the Indian Statistical Institute, New Delhi, India and Ballarat University, Australia, and he visited POSTECH, South Korea, for some months. He won the French scholarship, helping him to be a part of LRI, University Paris XI, France for one year. After that, he joined the Department of Mathematics at Sungkyunkwan University in 2006, presently where he holds the position of an Associate Professor. The main areas of research interest of Dr. Das are spectral graph theory, molecular graph theory, graph coloring, and graph labeling. He has published 66 research papers in these areas in reputable international journals. Dr. Das has been on the Editorial Board of the Journal “MATCH: Communications in Mathematical and in Computer Chemistry.“
