Christophe Dardonville graduated at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris) and obtained his M.S. degree in chemistry (D.E.A.) at the University of Montpellier (France). He moved to Spain with a Marie Curie Fellowship and obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Universidad Complutense (Madrid) in 2000. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow with Dr. Ian Gilbert (Welsh School of Pharmacy, Cardiff University, UK, 2000–2003) and Dr. Nadine Jagerovic (Institute of Medicinal Chemistry, CSIC, Madrid, Spain, 2003–2004). In 2004, he was appointed as a Senior scientist at the mixed research unit Lilly-Barcelona Science Park (Barcelona, Spain, 2004–2005). Since 2006, he joined the staff at the Institute of Medicinal Chemistry (CSIC, Madrid, Spain). His current research focuses on the design and synthesis of new antiparasitic drugs for neglected tropical diseases (sleeping sickness, malaria, leishmaniasis, Chagas disease).
