Mahendra D. Shirsat

Mahendra D. Shirsat has received his Master Degree in Physics in 1988 and Ph. D (Physics) in 1996 from Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad (MS) India. He has also received his Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) from IGNOU, New Delhi (India). He has completed his Post Doctoral (Postdoc) at Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, University of California, Riverside (USA). He has worked as a Visiting Principal Fellow at Intelligent Polymer Research Institute, University of Wollongong, Australia and Visiting Scientist at Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, University of California, Riverside (USA) during 2006-07 and 2008-09 respectively. Presently, he is working as a Professor in Intelligent Materials Research Laboratory, Department of Physics, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad (MS) India. His area of interest includes synthesis nanostructure materials, nano sensor array for biological and chemical sensing, optical fibre sensors, photovoltaic cells, NLO material crystals etc.
