Ehud Goldhammer was born in Haifa, Israel, in 1948. He received the M.D. degree in medicine from the Universit? degli Studi di Bologna, Bologna, Italy, in 1976 and during the years 1977-1982 specialized in cardiology at the Sheba Medical center, Tel Hashomer and Tel Aviv University. Since 1988 he has been the Director of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Center and Deputy Director of Cardiology Department, Bnei Zion Medical Center, Haifa, Israel. He has been working as a Professor of cardiology since 2003 at the Faculty of Medicine, Technion Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel. He has been an F.E.S.C. since 2005. He is mainly interested in cardiovascular physiology, atherosclerosis inflammatory markers, cardiac rehabilitation, and sports medicine. He is a Member of the Editorial Board of the World Journal of Cardiology and the European Review of Aging and Physical Activity. Professor Goldhammer is the author and coauthor of more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
