Paolo Giacomo Arduino

Paolo Giacomo Arduino with the M.D. degree specializing in dental surgery (2000) cum laude from the University of Turin, Italy. Since 2000, he has been serving as a Staff Member at the Department of Oral Medicine and Periodontology at Molinette Hospital, University of Turin. Since 2001, he has been appointed as an Honorary Clinical Assistant and as Contract Research Assistant and, since 2004, as a Contract Seminar Lecturer at the University of Turin. He gained his M.S. degree in oral medicine in 2004. He was awarded the Young Scientist Award at the 8th Biennial Congress of the EAOM in Berlin (2006). He has been involved in a wide range of research areas in oral medicine, including immunological diseases of the oral cavity and salivary glands as well as oral oncology. The main research interests have been predominantly in bollous diseases, virology, and in malignant and potentially malignant oral diseases, especially the early diagnosis of oral cancer and management of inflammatory mucosal diseases associated with an increased risk of cancer development. He has published more than 30 papers in national and international scientific peer-reviewed journals.
