Aurelio Cappozzo has an M.S. degree in electronic engineering (Polytechnic of Milan, Italy, 1970) and a Ph.D. degree in bioengineering (University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, 1982), and is currently Full Professor in bioengineering, Director of the Department of Human Movement and Sport Sciences at the University of Rome "Foro Italico", and Faculty Member of the bioengineering doctorate program of the University of Bologna. He is mostly devoted to the study of human movement, is a former President of the International Society of Biomechanics and of the Italian Society of Clinical Movement Analysis, and Council Member of the European Society of Biomechanics. He is currently Member of the Board of Directors of the Virtual Physiological Human Institute and Associate Editor of the Journal of Biomechanics. He has coedited 5 volumes and authored or coauthored 97 archive-journal full-papers and four patents (details at www.lablab.eu).
